So this week is Challenge # 7 for Emily‘s card challenge. Last week I posted a Challenge # 7, but apparently I can’t count and it was actually only week 6. But no one else seemed to notice, or if they did, they didn’t say anything! (the kindness of scrapbookers)
This week: shoes. I took this picture in college of a pair of my tap shoes, right before an audition. Actually, it’s a picture of a picture, giving it this cool grainy look. The original is an 5×7 I took for photography. “My dance shoes – each pair has a story to tell”
My dance shoes are really special to me. I have fond memories of all the shows I have been in; the auditions, dancing, the characters. Each pair of shoes is like a souvenir. I really miss being on stage. There really is nothing like musical theatre.

Nice photo.
I got thrown out of dance school in second grade so I have no attachment to any of my shoes. But at least I have a kinda cool story about getting kicked outta dance school.

I had dance shoes from age 6 to 9, but then I quit dance classes. What I want to have again are the shoes I used to dance in when I was in college. They had smooth soles that glided over the dance floor, but weren’t too slippery. They are all long gone, though and more’s the pity.
Michele sent me.

Love the idea behind this card and the casual way you’ve photographed the shoes. Makes a great layout.

Lovely photo – great idea!!! I always wanted to dance – but never could afford to as a kid. It’s nice to see people who continue to dance, long after most others just give up or move on to other things 🙂
