I finished! Simplicity 2591. I bought 4 yards of this seersucker – I joke that I’m going to make all my new clothes from it, just like the curtains from Sound of Music. I had so much left over I made a pair of shorts, and I still have enough to make a pencil skirt! haha

Don’t mind my crazy hair – or the mess in the background!

Been a busy little bee lately. Hasn’t been much work, so I’ve decided to occupy my time at the sewing machine. Made a few things, pictures to come later.
This layout came about during a break. It’s been so hot. Hard to concentrate when you are sweating in your apartment.

And here is a picture too cute not to post. My dear sweet Apollo. Loves to get his picture taken.

And in other news, I turned 30 not too long ago. Here is a pic from my picnic!

I really have missed blogging. But my schedule during the last semester, and (honestly) facebook, has prevented me from taking the time. It always seemed like such a hassle to upload photos, edit, them upload them here. But I would like to start up again. Really. I haven’t been blogging but I’ve certainly still been crafting.

These three layouts above I made for my friend Heathyr who moved away (wah!) to Kansas of all places. Don’t know when I will see her again. Been sewing too. More pictures of that to come soon.
I’ve missed all my blog friends. I promise to come round again real soon!!!

flea-market

these were some collages I made, inspired from an article in an old Somerset Sew I came across.  I’m going to make a big collection of them and hang them in the kitchen.

I’ve been soooo busy lately. Costuming play after play for school. Working, filling up on my Joss Whedon quotient. Has anyone been watching Dollhouse? It’s pretty good right??

some layouts I finished a while ago. I don’t know that I’m really happy with any of them. the lighting is bad and the cardboard I use to support them when taking pictures is getting warped so all the layouts looked bowed. sigh

petty

this one doesn’t seem finished, does it? I wasn’t feeling it any longer so I just stopped.

breaktime

he is just too cute! too bad this layout is so square and boring

attack

This is of my friend’s little doggie, Pixie. She’s so hyper. I get lazy when it comes to unfinished chipboard. Unfinished = done.

goodtimes

Me and my girlfriends at Knott’s Berry Farm. We were chaperone’s for Glenda’s students. I thought that was pretty funny. Me, a chaperone?

glamour

My little niece, trying on my sunglasses.

And then, I pulled out an old copy of Somerset Sew and was so inspired!

spoll

my wire work needs a little help, but I was really pleased. I think I’m going to give this spool to a friend.

phew! it feels good to post again. I’ve missed you little bloggy!

I just watched The Philadelphia Story the other night and they had the most wonderful sayings that I would like to bring back.

Several things on my mind lately:

  • The new Harry Potter trailer is so exciting! I can’t wait!
  • I trimmed my bangs in a rage, and I’m severely, severely regretting it.
  • My illustrations are getting better. Not so ashamed of my drawings anymore
  • Good friends who’ve helped me out. One just got me a gig as a stylist for a PSA, and another gave me a textbook for class.
  • making stuff lately. Will have to update with pictures. But I’ve been scrapping, and making collages. It’s been really fun!

1. It seems like I never wear the right thing.

2. Come to bed when you’re done, please?

3. If I thought you wouldn’t miss me I wouldn’t go!

4. The future is what I think of most when I think of you.

5. To me, Valentine’s Day means I should get away with something.

6. Chai lattes during the cold weather gives me strength.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to being warm, tomorrow my plans include a wedding and Sunday, I want to illustrate!

Been meaning to post, but we lost internet and phone lines due to the rain. The one downside to this wonderful weather! It’s dark and cold, the sky is a beautiful color of blue… I love it. I can finally use these babies

I’ve finally gotten back to the scrapbooking. Now that the play I was designing is over, I can focus on other things. And I took advantage of 30 free prints at snapfish, and now I have a ton of pictures to choose from, which makes things so much easier.

slumber

This is James, a good friend of mine’s first son. He is so adorable. And so laid back. I don’t think he cried once while we visited.

rawr

James and I making silly faces, while my nephew took photos. I can’t remember what we were doing – acting like dinosaurs??
