…
I suck.
The End.
(more to come later)

1. Seeing new places is the best thing about traveling.
2. I love a good cup of tea when I’m cold.
3. I often use the word f*ck.
4. I’m re-reading Jane Austen’s Emma right now; I love it.
5. Computers/code is something I dislike talking about.
6. When I visited Greece I most looked forward to seeing The Parthenon.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to cleaning (of course), tomorrow my plans include working on a special project and Sunday, I want to work!
When I first took this job with the animal rescue, James said to me, “you’re not going to be taking animals home every weekend, are you?” To which I replied, “of course not!”
So, here’s some pictures of my foster kitties, Cleopatra & Pharoah.
We only had them for a few nights, which was totally stressful! Artemis went off the deep end. She wouldn’t stop hissing and growling, so we had to keep them separated in the back room. But these two are the sweetest, sweetest, most loving kitties I’ve ever encountered! And I will say this, a famous person has sent in an application for them! (hint: he was in Harry Potter)
Check me out! I won this week’s open call at Unpubbed! That totally blew my mind! There were really great layouts submitted this week. Unpubbed really is such a fun idea. I hate to post this photo again, but here it is!
So thanks Joan, for sending me such inspiring photos to work with! And thanks to Unpubbed, for making me this week’s “famer”!
My sister sent me a little goodie bag to inspire me to make something. It worked. It had a luggage tag, sheet music, some vintage trim, flowers, buttons. And a little felt heart that I embellished.
See? It’s “music in my heart”
There was a piece of bubble wrap that i used to apply some paint. Do you know what my new favorite thing is now? That’s right, painting with bubble wrap.
Then I made a Valentine’s day card for James. And, I’m just going to take a moment and say that this is the coolest thing I have ever made. Here’s a sneak peek (don’t look James!!) It started out bad. Like some science experiment gone wrong. But all I could do is keep going; I had to use the stuff Michelle gave me. And then, voila! It all made sense. I wonder if that is the secret to art. Or my art anyways.
And here are the layouts from my photoswap
And don’t forget to participate in my contest/giveaway!!!
Have any of you seen There Will Be Blood? Wow. What can I say about Daniel Day Lewis that hasn’t already been said? He is phenomenal. This movie is so intense. It’s not what I thought it would be, but it was still amazing. James keeps saying the above quote now. It’s kinda funny, out of context.
I have been promising you a RAK for a while now.We haven’t had a RAK here at oranginadreams in a loooong time. So, here we go.
One day, I decided to take every project that I never started and place it in the middle of my room. The pile was enormous!! Apparently, when it comes to crafts, my eyes are bigger than my proverbial stomach. I kept about half and the rest I’m giving away. I have several prizes up for bid.
1) an unused Life’s Journey 12×12 scrapbook
2) A Making Memories frame kit
3) 7 skeins of yarn. The color is a little off (those dark blue ones are actually a royal purple)
4) a wood album and matching frame, laser engraved
5)11 patterns. There are some cute crafty ones, some cute little outfits
6) an 8×8 scrapbook, matching papers and an album
So what do you have to do to win these lovely items?? Well, I have decided to start an etsy shop!! Mainly I’m going to sell hand knitted scarves. I’m terrible at naming things, it would take me weeks to come up with a name that I could decide on. So help me out! I need a name! Something fun, catchy, whimsical. If you leave a comment, let me know if you are a sewer, knitter or scrapper. Plus there will be extra goodies for you, too!!
Thanks for helping me out!
This month’s project for WCTP was a photo swap. Joan sent me some pictures of her and her kids and I got so inspired. I love a photo swap! So, I made two layouts. Here’s a sneak peek. I’ll be sending them in the mail on monday!!
I was on such a roll, I made another layout. This one was inspired by Celine. I’ve always loved her artistic style, and let me tell you, it’s not easy to make. OMG, it took me F.O.R.E.V.E.R. to make this layout. But I’m very pleased with it.
I put my journaling in the little envelope.
So, who wants to do a photo swap with me? It turns out I’m very inspired with other people’s picture? haha
